Yesterday I went to the Civic hospital for emergency surgery. It wasn’t life threatening but it had to be dealt with asap. I tried to ask if they could possibly delay treatment (surgery) until I returned from NYC this coming weekend….ummm no! not happening! So basically, a suture on my left breast opened ever so slightly and exposed my implant (gross). There was no infection present but once the implant is exposed it has to be removed immediately or it can cause infection and other blah, blah, blah. Luckily, my superstar plastic surgeon Dr. Kirsty Boyd had a new one my size so they were able to open me up, clean my tissue and insert the new one without complications…..PHEW.
I’ll write a longer post detailing the day’s events later, because there always are things to write about.
Thank you to my family, friends, neighbours for your kind well wishes. I’m happy to report that I feel good, just need to have a little snooze fest.
